Our people

Happy employees means happy customers, which is always our aim.

We pride ourselves on providing a fun and supportive environment in which our people can flourish. We offer a range of training courses and development programmes, teaching hospitality, leadership and business skills, so our staff get the most out of working for us. We believe that if you like your job, you’re going to do better at it. We want all of our 1000 cast members to love their job, that’s why we instil a ‘Go Further with Walkabout’ philosophy. This can be a number of different aims, from progressing their career internally; going the extra mile for our customers; or enabling staff to work in venues all over the UK.

We have an excellent staff retention rate; 35% of our Venue Managers have been with us for over nine years, with 68% of our General Managers having been promoted from within the business, and 92% of Deputy and Assistant Managers. Our cast are happy because we have thought of the little ways we can make a difference to their lives:
